Email Bristol Councillors to delay the sale of Bottle Yard Studios

On Monday 14 October, a Bristol City Council committee will vote on whether to press ahead with the sale of Bottle Yard Studios, the last municipally owned Film & TV studios in the country.

Can you email Bristol Councillors to say: delay this sale by voting 'NO' on Monday?

Equity, the trade union for entertainment workers, has not been consulted about this sale. Without the opportunity to consult and ask questions of the Council, we have serious concerns about the impact this sale will have on the work and livelihoods of our members.

Can you email the nine Bristol Councillors who will make this decision next week, to tell them to pause the sale until they have consulted Equity on the impact this may have on our members.

<div>We are not against any sale, provided that opportunities for good quality work in Film & TV remain or grow in Bristol. But to date Bristol City Council has not sought Equity's views, despite the extensive research and market testing into the sale documented in the City Council's report. Such research should have led to consultation with the workers who find job opportunities at the studios, as well as potential buyers.</div>
