Councils are under pressure to save money and that is putting arts funding at risk. But arts funding makes up such a small proportion of council funding, yet has such a big impact on those it serves, be that theatre in schools, SEND workshops, adult education, and half term events at local libraries.
Cutting these services will not solve the local council's funding issues, but it will have an outsize impact on the families who rely on these creative projects.
