Lobby your MP to protest funding cuts to higher education arts courses in England
The UK Government is slashing funding for performing arts and creative higher education courses.
The cuts were confirmed in an announcement by the Office for Students on 21st July and will result in a 50% reduction in the coming year, with the threat of further cuts as other subjects are prioritised by the Government over the arts. This will severely narrow access to arts education in a sector where working class and marginalised groups are hugely underrepresented.
