Save Our ENO

Londoners deserves a world class opera accessible to all. But Arts Council England is putting that at risk.

Will you write to your MP and ask them to save London's ENO?

Since its founding, the English National Opera has produced outstanding art with accessible ticket prices. from East End pensioners, to NHS patients, they've brought the power of opera to everyone who needs it. And they offer good quality union jobs to artists in a precarious industry.

Now that is all at risk because Arts Council England has defunded the company and is insisting ENO needs to leave its home in London. Our members are at risk of losing their jobs.

Instead of spending money investing in high quality art all over the country, the government has made the Arts Council pit communities against each other, and put working families who depend on the ENO for their income through turmoil.

It doesn't have to be this way. Can you email your MP to raise your concerns? If enough MPs write to the government asking them to review this decision, give workers at ENO certainty that they can stay in London, and properly invest in opera across the country, they'll have to listen.
