Email your MP about barriers to Making Tax Digital

From April 2026, many self-employed people will have to start using HMRC-approved software as part of Making Tax Digital but HMRC is leaving taxpayers to fend for themselves. HMRC is not providing the software or ensuring that commercial software is free, adequate or accessible, and HMRC does not appear to be regulating the commercial software market.
